Admission Procedure

How to apply ?

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We, the Greenwich International School, appreciate your interest in enrolling your child into this prestigious educational institute in Sri Lanka. We have always been maintaining the trust placed upon us by a large number of parents/guardians over the past few decades in making decisions regarding the future of their children. We would like to assure you that we provide a wide range of academic and other related skills that are vital in molding the personality of the child to face the challenges and meet the demands of life as a competent individual.

Primary Admissions (Nursery to Grade 10)

Parents/Guardians who wish to get their children admitted can obtain the necessary information from the school office. The students have to sit for a placement test before being admitted. According to the marks scored, the student is selected and admitted to the school.

For the admission process, the following documents have to be submitted:

  • A copy of the Birth Certificate
  • 2 stamp-size photographs
  • Leaving certificate from the previous school (if requested by us)

Ordinary Level Admissions

The students who intend to enroll for their O-Level studies have to face a placement test before being admitted. According to marks obtained and the ability of the student, he/she will be selected and admitted to the school.

For the admission process, the following documents have to be submitted:

  • A copy of the Birth Certificate
  • Leaving certificate from the previous school
  • 2 stamp-size photographs

Advanced Level Admissions

The students who intend to enroll for their A-Level studies can select their stream and combination of subjects based on the subjects being offered at school. The students have to face an interview with the Vice Principal and/or Principal after the above process. Admission requirements for Edexcel / National A-Levels are passes in not less than 6 subjects at the Cambridge O-Levels, IGCSE or Local O-Levels including Maths and English with at least 3 B passes and preferably a minimum of 2 B passes in the offering subjects for the A/Level course. Students can apply with pending OL results.

For the admission process, the following documents have to be submitted.

  • A copy of the Birth Certificate
  • A copy of the O-Level result sheet
  • Leaving certificate of previous school
  • 2 Stamp size photographs
